On Saturday, February 3, 2024, from 6:00 p.m., Fukui City hosted a "Fukui Shinkansen Special Party in Sabatini" just before the opening of the Hokuriku Shinkansen line in Fukui! Special Party in Sabatini" was held at our restaurant.
The purpose of this event was to let people in the Tokyo metropolitan area know about Fukui City, which will become closer to them as the Hokuriku Shinkansen Line is about to open in Fukui on March 16, 2024 (Saturday).
The event was attended by about 35 people, including Mr. Shigeru Nishiyuki, Mayor of Fukui City, the "Fukui City Supporters," a community of residents in the Tokyo metropolitan area who have a connection with or an attachment to Fukui City, and guests living in the Tokyo metropolitan area.
Participants enjoyed 18 dishes ranging from appetizers to desserts that fully exploited the appeal of Fukui's ingredients, as well as conversation and deepened exchanges.
Through this kind of collaboration with local governments, we are contributing to the revitalization of local communities in Japan.
With the opening of the Hokuriku Shinkansen line, access from the Tokyo metropolitan area will be improved, and Fukui City will be reachable in approximately 2 hours and 50 minutes from Tokyo without changing trains.
